Ron Steel

Ronald Eugene Steel accepted the call to be Senior Pastor of Twin Oaks Presbyterian Church effective August 29, 2004.

Prior to his call to Twin he served as senior pastor at Chapelgate Presbyterian Church, which is located just west of Baltimore, Maryland.

Ron is vitally interested in missions work, having been a part of the Presbyterian Church in America's Ukraine Partnership project on two separate occasions. He has also traveled to Turkey and Mexico as part of the PCA's missions outreach. He is often sought after as keynote speaker at missionary home assignment retreats and missions conferences.

Prior to coming to Maryland he was an Associate Pastor at  Briarwood Presbyterian Church in Birmingham, Alabama, where he served for eight years as the Minister of Prayer and Outreach. Ron served as Associate Pastor of the Cornerstone Baptist Church in Orlando, Florida until being called to Briarwood.

He graduated from the University of Florida, Gainesville, in 1970 with a B.Sc. in Psychology; and from Reformed Theological Seminary, Jackson, Mississippi in 1976 with a Masters in Divinity. 

 Ron and his wife Jenny were both raised in the Baptist church. They were married on May 19, 1973 and have three sons, Matthew, born in 1979, Bryan, born in 1981 and Jonathan, born in 1988.
